Venue Location

Château de Valmousse is located in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region of southern France. It is surrounded by small villages but is approximately 20-25 minutes from the city of Aix-en-Provence, approximately 45 minutes from the city of Avignon and under 30 minutes from the closest airport Marseille Provence Airport (MRS).

We will be be providing shuttles on our wedding day, Saturday 21st of September for guests staying at accommodations within 20 minutes of our venue (more info on Accommodations page). There is also plenty of parking at the venue if you would like to drive there.

Closest Airports

The closest airport to our venue is Marseille Provence Airport (MRS) which is under 30 minutes by car. There are many connecting flights to Marseille from Paris (about an hour flight) as well as via other European cities. There are no direct flights from the US to Marseille, however there are direct flights from New York to the Nice Côte d'Azur Airport (under 2 hours by car to our venue).

Train Stations

Traveling by train is very popular, convenient and cost-effective in France. The highspeed train, the TGV departs from the Gare de Lyon Station in Paris and has a 3-hour train to Aix-en-Provence (it’s a beautiful, scenic trip through the countryside). This is a great option if you are also spending some time in Paris. There are also some TGV trains that go from Aix to Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) airport.

• Paris <> Avignon: approx. 2 hours 45 minutes

• Paris <> Nice: approx. 5 hours 30 minutes

• Aix-en-Provence <> Avignon: approx. 18 minutes

Driving

We recommend renting a car - because there’s no better way to see the South of France! Car rentals are available at the airport and train stations.

Taxi & Ubers

While there are Ubers in the cities of Aix-en-Provence and Avignon, there are not many in the countryside near the venue.
